RELIEF RUBBINGS

DEVELOP POWERS OF OBSERVATION AND CREATIVITY.

Resources

Thin paper, crayons, objects like coins, keys, bark, leaves.

Instructions

  1. Ask children to go and find interesting objects that they can create rubbings of using crayon.

  2. Collect the relief rubbings from each child and hold them up one by one, asking the group to guess what the object is.

Teacher Notes

For a time-saving alternative, gather together some interesting objects in one area and invite children to choose one for their rubbing.

Make sure children write their names on their paper.
