Back at Thameside Primary School, teacher, Ingrid Burton, is empowering INSIDE OUTers to become teachers themselves.
The children lined up in front of another teacher’s class and ran through some of the cool things they learned at Checkendon. One of the most popular was sharing the FBW (Pause…Feet…Breath…Weather). I was there and what a thrill to watch INSIDE OUTers teach for the first time, with a helping hand from Ingrid of course. The other children so got it and had such fun…and when asked at the end of class if they would like to ‘feel their weather’ again, you can guess what the answer was…YES!
Ingrid’s goal by Christmas: let the children teach the 4 classes they’re in the FBW. Then roll it out to the whole school. Imagine what a confidence booster that will be for the ‘teachers.’ Imagine the 300 children of Thameside Primary ‘feeling their weather’ and accepting that we all have storms to deal with. Imagine all from one magical day on INSIDE OUT.
