Resources
Sunflower seeds, small pots, soil, water.
Instructions
Have children plant sunflower seeds in a pot with some soil - be sure to demonstrate first!
Explain that plants need water to grow.
Get children to take it in turns to water and care for the plants each day and observe their growth.
Teacher Notes
You could also encourage children to reflect on this activity by having them write a short poem or draw a picture of their sunflowers to display at home or in the classroom.
