OUR 3 PATHWAYS

EVERY CHILD DESERVES HAPPINESS.

It is widely recognised that positive mental health and wellbeing are as important to a child’s overall development as their physical health. In the wake of COVID-19 and its enduring impact, this has never before been so widely accepted.

The pandemic has resulted in fundamental changes to the lives of children and two years on, as we look towards recovery and healing, we continue to see declining mental health in our young people.

In the last three years, the likelihood of young people having a mental health problem has increased by 50%. Now, five children in a classroom of 30 are likely to have a mental health problem.

Schools play a fundamental role in supporting children’s emotional welfare and teachers are in a prime position to provide young people with the skills needed to respond to life’s daily challenges.

However, with school staff often stretched for time and resources, knowing how best to support children’s wellbeing can present a challenge.

WELLBEING SUPPORT MADE SIMPLE.

To help the busy teacher or parent/carer with promoting the wellbeing of children, we’ve launched a brand new website packed with inspiring resources to put children’s happiness at the top of the agenda.

What’s more, our new site has been designed to provide wellbeing support at any level with our three unique pathways: Dip In, Dive In and All In

Each pathway is built on our 5 Keys to Happiness framework, the equivalent of 5 fruit and veg a day for your mental health, and offers different ways to engage with our philosophy so you can find a solution that works for your needs.

  • For a quick wellbeing boost, the Dip In pathway includes over 150 happiness-boosting activities, giving children a toolkit of practical life skills to boost resilience and self-confidence.

  • For curriculum-based support, the Dive In pathway contains half-termly sets, including assemblies, lesson plans, communication bites and more, so teachers can cover statutory requirements without stress.

  • For school staff ready to embed a whole-school wellbeing culture, the All In pathway contains our full programme support, helping headteachers across the country put the happiness of children at the heart of school life.
